Ok, so we've had a couple of beautifully sunny days now, and been able to get out and about.
The fireworks in Halifax were great, and went off from the bridge which joins Halifax to Dartmouth. We watched from Dartmouth side, and grabbed our seats early so we could get a good view. We also got to enjoy the sunset and got some fab pics.
Today took a visit to Pictou on the North coast of Nova Scotia. Its a beautiful place. Had a wander through the littel gift shops, a walk along the harbourside and a yummy lunch at a little cafe called 'The Stone Soup', which included buttermilk onion rings, sweet potato fries, and a delish maple pecan pie.
We also managed to squeeze in a visit to Jost Vineyard, where I got to try some Blueberry wine. Its actually quite nice!
Tomorrow will be quite exciting as im meeting up with my friend Sally, whos recently moved over here. The perfect meeting place?.....well it has to be Tim Hortons for a coffee and a donut of course!!....
