So i've been playing with some new designs for flower brooches recently and love how these ones look. With a little help from some cute floral fabric from a lovely shop in Lewes (The Patchwork Dog and Basket) and some sweet shimmery buttons, im very happy with these two little summery numbers....

Sunny Saturday....

...ok, so the sunny Saturday has turned to rain....but so what? I've had a lovely afternoon making pretty things from the mornings purchases.

Took a little drive to the local Hobby Craft. I have to admit, not somewhere I would normally go, but its only just opened, I was curious, and a bit of breakfast at the nearby Garden Centre all helped.

And yes, I did manage to spend my money....

.....on some rather nice papers, a few pretty buttons, and some felt (my favorite being the red polka dot)!

I also love the pink flower buttons....perfect for a flower brooch....

And so a creative afternoon followed, and 2 new hairslides created....

Now its time for a glass of wine!
